Job Description

A North American-based clean technology manufacturer is hiring a Production Supervisor to lead operations on a designated shift. This role is responsible for overseeing production team performance, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining product quality, managing process continuity, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet manufacturing goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day shift operations, ensuring safety protocols, work instructions, and best practices are followed consistently.
  • Train, guide, and monitor frontline operations staff to achieve production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and enforce quality control checks per SOPs and shift protocols.
  • Ensure data accuracy and product traceability by maintaining proper use of digital tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to identify and resolve equipment issues swiftly and safely.
  • Communicate across shifts and with production leadership to relay critical updates and improvement opportunities.
  • Respond to raw material inventory needs to ensure continuity of production schedules.
  • Step into various operator roles during breaks or absences to maintain production flow as needed.
  • Actively identify and recommend continuous improvement measures to boost yield, uptime, and efficiency.
  • Support employee engagement, promote teamwork, and reinforce a culture of safety and performance.
  • Ensure shift goals align with broader production KPIs and performance targets.
  • Provide administrative updates, coaching, and team feedback as necessary.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance workflow and process consistency across departments.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory or team lead roles.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with quality control practices, safety procedures, and production tracking systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work rotating or flexible shifts, including overtime when necessary.

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of experience in production supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with production planning systems (MRP/ERP) and manufacturing instrumentation.
  • Working knowledge of process improvement methods and lean principles.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $78,000–$85,000/year , depending on experience
  • Annual bonus eligibility up to 10% of base salary
