Who we are looking for:

The Engineering & Maintenance, Body is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and engineering functions within the body manufacturing line. This role ensures that all equipment, facilities, and systems are maintained to the highest standards, supporting operational goals and objectives.

What you get to do:

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment and facilities.
  • Oversee the maintenance team, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Schedule and supervise maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Lead engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments to design and implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Develop and manage the maintenance and engineering budget, ensuring cost-effective operations
  • Source and manage external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and engineering tasks
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency
  • Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and engineering projects
  • Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance and engineering performance to senior management

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mechanical / Manufacturing or related
  • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, CMRP) are a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in maintenance and engineering managerial roles.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive body manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of managing large projects and leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
