ABOUT THIS POSITION
Join a diverse team of talented and inspired engineers and analysts developing US Army Air and Missile Defense systems in Huntsville, Alabama. The AMD Interoperability Senior Analyst will support various government customers in the testing of Air and Missile Defense (AMD) systems in all-domain Joint Live, Virtual, Constructive (JLVC) test venues. This role requires extensive knowledge of joint interoperability from an Army AMD perspective. The Senior Analyst will guide a team of weapons systems analysts by defining requirements and analysis objectives. The Senior Analyst must be familiar with distributed Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) JLVC test environments and will be expected to lead efforts to analyze data collected from tactical weapons systems and labs of various levels of fidelity from prototype simulations to live tactical hardware across the Joint force. Test events vary from routine operational testing of existing tactical systems to live flight, live fire Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations (ACTDs). The Senior Analyst must be experienced in multiple disciplines including missile guidance, sensor analysis, joint interoperability, advanced integrated fire control, tactical data links and networks, sensor registration, combat ID, friendly force tracking, aircraft self-reporting systems, electronic counter measures and field test instrumentation. The Senior Analyst will be expected to develop and deliver test and analysis reports to leadership; interact with government customers on a regular basis; and coordinate and conduct briefings to demonstrate JLVC AMD functionality to VIPs during live test events. The position is a full-time, on contractor site position located in Huntsville, AL just outside of Redstone Arsenal Gate 9 in Redstone Gateway. The SME works as a member of an experienced team that includes software developers, weapons analysts and an operational test team. Expect up to 20% travel to remote test environments working in austere conditions with unusual hours.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ B.S. required in Engineering (preferred), Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics
+ Minimum 20 years of related experience
+ Candidate must be a US Citizen
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Knowledge of Joint Integrated Fire Control Networks (CEC, MADL, IFDL, etc.)
+ Experience leading integrated system test events
+ Knowledge of Real-time distributed simulation infrastructures
+ Background in DoD Operational Testing (OT) and Development Testing (DT)
+ Demonstrated experience with Army Air and Missile Defense Interoperability to include:
+ Patriot Information Coordination Central (ICC)
+ Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Engagement Operations Center (EOC)
+ Link 16 MIL-STD-6016 with knowledge of Multi-functional Information Distribution System (MIDS) and Joint Range Extension Application Protocol (JREAP)
+ Joint Tactical Integrated Fire Control architectures
+ Air Battle Management / Command and Control (C2)
+ Proficiency in statistical analysis to include understating of covariance uncertainty volumes, generation of histograms, bias and noise distribution.
+ Deep understanding of tactical weapons sensor emplacement with knowledge of how to architect test events to collect and analyze data to precisely evaluate sensor emplacement errors and biases.
+ Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on prescribed schedules
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences or facilitate group discussions and develop accurate written materials to clearly and concisely communicate information
+ Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of program operations requirements
+ Ability to build solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers
